For a recurring decision need
The brief is useful when your team already knows which market, competitive set or strategic issue needs continued attention. A focused Sprint can establish the initial picture; a recurring brief then assesses what has changed against that baseline.
It is not a general news digest. The subject and boundaries are agreed before the service begins, so each edition can connect new evidence with an actual business question.
What each monthly brief contains
- What changed: material developments within the agreed scope.
- Why it matters: implications for the defined commercial exposure or decision.
- What remains uncertain: confidence levels, competing interpretations and gaps.
- What to watch: three to five observable indicators and their decision relevance.
- Management discussion: a 30-minute call to explore implications and next steps.
The deliverable is 4–6 pages or slides, with the evidence references needed to assess the judgements. The standard fee is €900 per month, plus VAT if applicable; scope, availability and duration are agreed in writing.
Examples of a workable focus
A maritime equipment exporter might follow one target market and a defined competitor set. An advisory firm might track a regional commercial issue relevant to a client mandate. A broad request to monitor everything across a region needs to be narrowed before it can become a useful brief.
Monthly analysis, with clear limits
The service does not include continuous monitoring, daily alerts, crisis response, vessel screening, legal compliance advice or unlimited analyst access. Urgent decisions should not rely on a monthly publication cycle. Changes in scope or additional research are agreed separately.
